Electronic Textbook of the Future, February 2, 1999
Reviewer: A reader from New York City
This is a fully interactive electronic textbook that covers the essentials of Financial Accounting. This is one of the most interesting and informative pieces of instructional software (CD) I have ever encountered!

A great way to learn!, December 24, 1999

I was a student in an MBA financial accounting course that used Dan Gode’s Financial Accounting Tutor software instead of a textbook. This turned out to be of great benefit. The Tutor presented and explained financial accounting in a straightforward and insightful manner. The interactivity of the software added another dimension to learning, making me more involved in the learning process and making it more enjoyable to solve problems. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to learn financial accounting on their own and I would highly recommend the Tutor for any introductory/intermediate accounting course in college or business school. Another thing to consider is that the cost of the software package is much less compared to an average accounting book running you upwards of $70 and an average MBA course running you upwards of $2,500. --This text refers to the Software edition.

Terrific!!, October 13, 2000

Without question the most interesting (just plain fun) of all the brief and/or electronic accounting books available. You "play" this serious academic CD similar to the way you play sophisticated CD games like "Sim City 3000". And, the playing is so enjoyable that you're unaware that in the process you've learned all of the basic fundamentals of financial accounting most anyone ever needs to know!

"Best Value for Money: Value for money is always a subjective comparison. Financial Accounting Tutor is absolutely feature-laden and for its ridiculously low price, it easily takes the prize for value."

Feedback from students at the Stern School of Business, New York University

The software has been used very successfully in the financial accounting and reporting course for the undergraduate and MBA students at the Stern School of Business, New York University. The course does not use any textbook, Financial Accounting Tutor (FAcT) is the only e-text for the course. The software makes learning accounting easier, more fun, and allows more time for discussions in class. Some sample evaluations from these classes are included below:
